Join Ruby Labs to transform enterprise accounting operations by automating repetitive core processes. You will leverage Claude Code and agentic AI alongside traditional programming to handle accounts payable, receivable, and month-end close activities. The goal is to minimize manual work while ensuring strict adherence to accounting standards through human-reviewed automation.
What you'll do
- Automate invoice capture and data extraction from PDFs and emails
- Implement vendor matching and duplicate invoice detection systems
- Manage cash application and bank receipt matching for AR
- Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations across currencies
- Automate month-end close tasks including accruals and depreciation
- Build data pipelines between ERP systems, banks, and spreadsheets
- Support audits by collecting evidence and extracting samples
What you'll need
- Strong knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP standards
- Hands-on experience building automations with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Daily use of AI coding tools, preferably Claude Code
- Ability to run local scripts and schedule jobs via cron or CI
- Experience with core accounting processes like AP, AR, and close
- Comfort working with APIs, MCP servers, CSV/Excel data, and SQL
- Focus on accuracy, internal controls, and audit trails
Nice to have
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-currency environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their APIs
- Knowledge of VAT/GST and e-invoicing rules in various jurisdictions
- Experience building AI agents and agentic workflows
- Proficiency with Git, testing, and basic cloud deployment
- Additional languages for non-English market operations
