This role centers on architecting storage solutions that support real-time trading, drug discovery, and autonomous systems. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex customer requirements into scalable designs during the sales cycle.
The team works across industries like finance and physical AI, integrating with GPU clusters and cloud platforms. You will conduct proofs of concept, benchmarks, and live demos to demonstrate system capabilities.
What you'll do
- Partner with customers to understand data challenges in trading or genomics
- Translate technical requirements into scalable storage solutions
- Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales cycle
- Architect storage for AI training, HPC, and GPU-accelerated workloads
- Create BOMs, system architectures, and proposals for complex RFPs
- Conduct live demos, POCs, and performance benchmarking
- Integrate solutions with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and AI frameworks
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical thought leadership
What you'll need
- Strong understanding of SAN, NAS, object storage, and parallel file systems
- Knowledge of reliability, resilience, security, and scale patterns
- Familiarity with S3, POSIX, NFS, and SMB data protocols
- Understanding of TCP/IP, InfiniBand, and RDMA network protocols
- Curiosity about massively parallel technologies like Lustre or GPFS
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to engineers and executives
- Fluent German is required for this position
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to have
- 3-8+ years in pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting
- Proven track record designing storage or infrastructure solutions
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or high-performance workloads
