Join Everfield’s central product team as a hands-on engineering force dedicated to the agent paradigm shift. You will partner with a Product Lead to jump into various business unit codebases, prototype using agentic coding tools, and ship end-to-end features for real customers.

The role focuses on speed and practicality, turning validated ideas into production-ready software in weeks rather than quarters. You will ensure clean handoffs to local engineering teams while helping codify a repeatable build playbook for the wider portfolio.

What you'll do

  • Build agent-first products end to end within business unit codebases
  • Prototype, ship, iterate, and hand off features rapidly
  • Use agentic coding tools like Claude Code and SpecKit as default workflow
  • Develop custom AI tooling where existing solutions are insufficient
  • Collaborate directly with customers to iterate based on actual usage
  • Work alongside BU engineering teams to ensure maintainability
  • Translate validated concepts into shipped products in weeks
  • Provide production-ready code and documentation for handoff
  • Identify new build opportunities during current delivery cycles
  • Help create a scalable build playbook for future builders

What you'll need

  • Senior engineer with a track record of shipping real software
  • Founder or near-founder experience with full product ownership
  • Daily hands-on experience with agentic coding tools
  • Ability to work across multiple tech stacks and languages
  • Comfortable navigating and improving messy legacy codebases
  • Experience demoing to customers and iterating on feedback
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in engineering or hybrid roles
  • Thrives in ambiguity and switches contexts between business units

Nice to have

  • Experience in portfolio, accelerator, or multi-company environments
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS fundamentals
  • Executive-level English proficiency
  • Exposure to post-acquisition or M&A integration
  • History of founded startups, including failed or acqui-hired ones
  • Public technical work such as GitHub repos or conference talks
  • Production experience integrating LLMs with evals and guardrails
