You will design, build, and maintain AI systems that combine large language models with traditional software components. The work focuses on creating reliable, scalable features through prompt pipelines, tool integration, and robust observability.
The team values strong engineering fundamentals, requiring careful consideration of system design, performance, and operational reliability while iterating based on real user feedback.
What you'll do
- Design and implement LLM integration into product workflows including prompt pipelines
- Build safeguards, retries, and observability for reliable production behavior
- Create evaluation datasets and tooling to measure model performance
- Optimize retrieval pipelines using chunking, indexing, and vector search
- Collaborate with product and design teams to ship polished AI features
- Write clean, tested code and contribute to system architecture reviews
What you'll need
- At least five years of experience building reliable production systems
- Proven track record of building LLM systems in production environments
- Experience designing prompts, managing context, and orchestrating tools
- Knowledge of retrieval augmented generation and vector databases
- Understanding of transformers, attention mechanisms, and model tradeoffs
- Ability to design evaluation frameworks and run experiments on prompts
