You will own the AI platform layer that enables business-critical automation for large enterprises. This involves building agent runtimes, context management systems, and tool orchestration to ensure reliability and safety in production.
The position requires applied AI systems engineering rather than ML research. You will design systems that handle non-deterministic outputs and optimize for cost, latency, and quality while shipping features weekly.
What you'll do
- Build agent runtime, context management, and tool orchestration systems
- Develop evaluation pipelines to catch regressions and measure quality
- Implement observability tooling for end-to-end agent execution
- Design systems handling non-deterministic outputs and context limits
- Debug failures across model behavior, data pipelines, and infrastructure
- Make build-vs-integrate decisions for evolving AI infrastructure
What you'll need
- Experience building production AI systems with LLMs at scale
- Proven track record of taking ambiguous AI problems to production
- Strong system design skills for reliability, cost, and latency
- Ability to create meaningful test sets and evaluation frameworks
- Hypothesis-driven approach to debugging complex distributed systems
- Comfort making decisions with incomplete benchmarks
Nice to have
- Experience with scalable distributed systems and high throughput
- Knowledge of AI security risks like prompt injection
- Contributions to open-source AI tooling or infrastructure
