Gradient is developing a sovereign AI runtime where intelligence is hosted and owned by users. As an AI Research Engineer, you will work at the intersection of machine learning, distributed systems, and on-chain coordination. Your goal is to create resilient infrastructure that maintains performance and privacy at the edge.
What you'll do
- Design protocols for AI training and inference
- Implement federated learning and secure model serving
- Build scalable systems for heterogeneous networks
- Optimize architecture for performance and reliability
- Translate research ideas into production systems
- Monitor advancements in AI and cryptography
What you'll need
- Strong programming skills in Python, Rust, or Go
- Experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow
- Background in distributed systems or networking
- Knowledge of applied cryptography concepts
- Familiarity with federated learning principles
Nice to have
- Experience with blockchain protocols
- Knowledge of zkML technologies
- Work with decentralized networks
