Join OnePay as an AI Research Intern to explore foundation models applied to financial data. You will design and train models using transformer or graph-based architectures, turning experimental findings into working prototypes. Working with product and engineering teams, you will help improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
What you'll do
- Research, design, and train foundation models on proprietary data
- Work with transformer and graph-based neural network architectures
- Run experiments and rigorously evaluate model performance results
- Convert promising research findings into functional prototypes
- Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance user experience
What you'll need
- Final-year master’s or PhD student graduating in 2027 or 2028
- Major in Engineering or a closely related technical field
- Strong grasp of deep learning fundamentals like backpropagation
- Experience implementing or fine-tuning models in PyTorch
- Completed prior internship in ML, research, or software engineering
- Available full-time from June 21 to August 13, 2027
- Willing to work in NYC office 3-4 days per week
Nice to have
- Familiarity with transformer pre-training and fine-tuning tradeoffs
- Exposure to graph neural networks or message passing techniques
- Coursework or projects involving Large Language Models
- Published research papers or open-source contributions in AI
