Join the Security Engineering team at Interra Health to protect AI systems used in prescription navigation and healthcare transparency. You will assess vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and ensure safe deployment of machine learning solutions.
Reporting to the Lead Security Engineer, you will work hands-on to mitigate risks such as data leakage and adversarial inputs. The role requires collaborating with Data & Analytics to embed security throughout the AI development lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Lead security assessments of AI/ML models and data pipelines for vulnerabilities
- Embed security requirements and threat modeling into the AI development lifecycle
- Build guardrails and monitoring controls to detect anomalous model behavior
- Conduct security reviews of third-party AI tools and LLM providers
- Lead incident response for AI-related security events and data exposure
- Design standards for secure data handling in AI training and inference
- Test access controls, encryption, and data segmentation for AI systems
- Translate emerging AI threats into practical mitigations and document findings
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in security or application security engineering
- Hands-on experience securing AI/ML systems or LLM-based applications
- Deep knowledge of AI/ML risks like OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and data poisoning
- Experience with SAST/DAST tooling and vulnerability scanning
- Comfort scripting in Python or a similar language
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for AI workloads
- Ability to translate technical risk for non-security stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, post-merger environment
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated healthcare environments (HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Familiarity with LLM security frameworks like MITRE ATLAS or Garak
- Security certifications such as OSCP, GCIH, or CISSP
- Experience red-teaming or penetration-testing AI/ML systems
