Lightdash is an open source business intelligence tool that transforms dbt projects into full-stack BI platforms. As an Analytics Engineering Advocate, you will serve as the primary technical contact for the user community, helping teams succeed with data modeling and analytics workflows.
You will spend your time diagnosing issues, pair-programming with users, and creating educational content. The role requires deep expertise in modern data stacks and a passion for teaching others how to leverage AI tools for efficiency.
What you'll do
- Respond to user questions and triage bugs in shared Slack channels
- Jump on calls to pair-program and solve complex technical issues
- Create tutorials, docs, blog posts, and video demonstrations
- Represent Lightdash at community events, conferences, and meetups
- Develop strategies to grow and engage the analytics engineering community
- Use AI tools daily for task management and technical problem-solving
What you'll need
- Strong hands-on experience with dbt, SQL, and data modeling
- Comfortable using git, command line, and data visualization tools
- Proficient with AI coding assistants and productivity tools
- Deep understanding of business intelligence and analytics workflows
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills for varied audiences
- Ability to work within UTC +/- 3 time zones
