You will join BJAK's global team to develop the Android application for their AI-driven finance platform. Your focus will be on creating reliable, fast, and user-friendly mobile flows for insurance, payments, and investments.
The team values product quality and clean architecture, aiming to simplify complex financial journeys for users across Southeast Asia. You will collaborate with product and design teams to ship features that genuinely improve the user experience.
What you'll do
- Build and ship Android features using Kotlin and modern architecture
- Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, and claims
- Collaborate with product and design to simplify user journeys
- Integrate backend APIs ensuring stability and security
- Optimize app performance, memory usage, and crash rates
- Use analytics and production data to drive product improvements
- Implement AI-assisted features where they add genuine value
What you'll need
- 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin
- Strong fundamentals in shipping production-grade apps
- Proficiency with Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow, and Android architecture
- Solid understanding of mobile UX, usability, and edge cases
- Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging live issues
- High ownership mindset with attention to product quality
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Portfolio with App links, GitHub repos, or screenshots of shipped work
- Experience with on-device inference or TensorFlow Lite
