Solidgate is building a global payments orchestration platform that processes millions of transactions daily. As the company scales its cloud-native infrastructure of over 120 microservices, it needs an Application Security Engineer to integrate security practices directly into the software development lifecycle.
You will partner with engineering teams to design secure architectures, implement automated security testing, and manage vulnerability remediation. The goal is to make security a core part of everyday engineering work rather than an afterthought.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain secure coding standards for development teams
- Conduct threat modeling during architecture and design phases
- Implement SAST, DAST, and secrets scanning in CI/CD pipelines
- Perform security assessments using OWASP ASVS and SAMM frameworks
- Manage vulnerability triage, prioritization, and validation
- Support external penetration testing and Bug Bounty programs
- Identify and mitigate risks in cloud environments and pipelines
What you'll need
- At least 2 years in Application or Product Security
- Hands-on experience with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Practical skills in secure code reviews and threat modeling
- Experience integrating SAST and DAST tools into CI/CD
- Strong understanding of web application and API security
- Ability to communicate clearly and partner with engineers
Nice to have
- Experience with container and cloud security tooling
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and shift-left practices
- Background in automating application security processes
- Previous experience as a software engineer
