Join the Applications Engineering team at Standard Bots to bring robotic automation to new industries. You will work directly with customers to design, install, and validate 6-axis robot solutions in real-world manufacturing environments. This position focuses on practical deployment rather than model training or pure software development.
What you'll do
- Partner with sales and customers to design robotic solutions for novel applications
- Travel to customer sites to install, program, and validate robotic systems
- Create technical enablement materials such as sample code and application notes
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams to test and refine new features
- Develop marketing collateral to communicate solution value to prospects
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience with electrical, software, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with DC power, NPN vs PNP, and Python scripting
- Ability to navigate CAD tools like SolidWorks
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial automation
- Understanding of factory floor constraints, cycle times, and safety standards
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
