Join the Intelligence team at Block Labs to engineer autonomous AI agents that interact with customers and internal teams. You will develop systems where humans set objectives and AI models execute decisions within strict, auditable boundaries, focusing on real-time risk management and engagement orchestration.
The position balances work across AI agent development, machine learning model production, data science analysis, and building dashboard surfaces. You will own the full lifecycle of these systems, ensuring they are secure, grounded, and capable of handling real money and sensitive data.
What you'll do
- Build Slack-native SQL analyst agents that answer business questions with validated queries
- Develop customer-facing agents with RAG, intent triage, and escalation logic
- Harden agents against adversarial inputs like prompt injection and tool misuse
- Productionize ML models for churn, risk scoring, and fraud detection
- Design dashboards and approval surfaces for agent supervision and auditing
- Implement deterministic rules and simulate policy changes against historical data
What you'll need
- 4+ years in software, data science, or ML engineering
- 1+ year building production LLM-powered agents with tool use and orchestration
- Experience shipping production RAG systems with grounding and hallucination control
- Strong Python skills and comfort with TypeScript for front-end surfaces
- Proficiency in SQL on columnar analytical databases like ClickHouse
- Knowledge of ML lifecycle ownership including monitoring and retraining
- Ability to design evaluation harnesses and regression suites for non-deterministic systems
Nice to have
- Experience in iGaming or high-trust transaction environments
- Helpdesk integration experience with platforms like Intercom or Zendesk
- Exposure to blockchain, crypto transactions, or on-chain data
