Join the Applied AI team at WorkOS to design and ship AI-powered products that customers rely on and internal tools that boost productivity across Engineering, Sales, and Operations. You will work on high-ownership projects, moving quickly from prototype to production while defining patterns for agent authentication and access control.
What you'll do
- Design and ship customer-facing AI products such as support bots and new interfaces
- Build stable internal tools including agents, automations, and daily workflows
- Develop a unified bot framework and sandboxed coding harness for safe deployments
- Integrate LLMs with docs, Slack, GitHub, CRM, and analytics via tool-calling
- Replace manual multi-step processes with orchestrated AI-driven flows
- Run experiments to converge on scalable patterns and infrastructure
What you'll need
- Experience taking AI systems from idea to production with real user iterations
- Strong engineering fundamentals for owning services and data flows end-to-end
- Practical experience building applications with LLM APIs
- Focus on failure modes, observability, and long-term ownership
- Bias toward action and removing real business bottlenecks
- Comfort with ambiguity and evolving tools in a fast-changing environment
Nice to have
- Prior work on customer-facing AI products
- Experience with embeddings, retrieval/RAG, and structured tool-calling
- Exposure to MCP or similar protocols for connecting agents to systems
