Join BJAK as an Applied AI Engineer to develop practical AI solutions for their leading Southeast Asian insurance platform. You will build agents and automation systems that integrate with customer support, claims, and operations to reduce manual work and improve user experience. The team values builders who can prototype quickly and productionize reliable, safe AI workflows.
What you'll do
- Build AI-powered workflows, assistants, agents, and automation systems.
- Apply AI to customer support, CRM, onboarding, claims, and payments.
- Integrate LLMs with internal data, APIs, documents, and business systems.
- Design evaluation, monitoring, and fallback flows for reliable AI outputs.
- Prototype solutions quickly and productionize those that prove effective.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to scale AI-native systems.
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering foundation, preferably with Python.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, agents, RAG, or workflow automation.
- Ability to connect AI systems with real product and operational workflows.
- Understanding of evaluation, accuracy, latency, cost, and privacy.
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration.
- Judgement on when to use AI versus rule-based systems or human review.
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, insurance, or support automation.
- Background in CRM or operations automation.
- Proven track record of shipping practical AI systems.
