As a Senior Manager in the Applied AI Health System Engineering team, you will drive the development of AI, GenAI, and ML solutions tailored to health systems. You will translate ambiguous healthcare challenges into scalable AI architectures, including RAG pipelines and agentic workflows, while engaging with executive stakeholders to ensure measurable clinical and financial outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead development of healthcare AI and GenAI solutions including clinical use case design
- Architect production-grade RAG pipelines and agentic AI workflows for health systems
- Manage daily operations of global healthcare data science teams on client engagements
- Guide teams in processing clinical notes, claims data, and EHR feeds for LLM context
- Facilitate executive-level presentations showcasing GenAI capabilities and model performance
- Direct data engineers and scientists to deliver HIPAA-compliant AI solutions
- Mentor associates and senior associates in healthcare domain knowledge and technical skills
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience in health IT or AI solution development
- At least 6-7 years of experience working directly within a health system environment
- Proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, Keras, and Transformers
- Experience with LLM frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel
- Deep knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL vector databases like Pinecone or Chroma
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI platforms
- Proven track record in MLOps, model governance, and PHI-compliant deployment patterns
Nice to have
- Experience delivering production AI use cases with measurable clinical outcomes
- Familiarity with Anthropic Claude and Claude Code for application development
- Knowledge of value-based care and population health program design
- Experience with data warehouse technology such as Snowflake or Databricks
- Background in clinical coding automation or revenue cycle task automation
