Join a two-person engineering team at Arrouya, where you will help modernize a production codebase while simultaneously building a new platform from the ground up. The work focuses on complex systems for facility reservations, payments, and accounting tailored for government clients.
What you'll do
- Design systems for reservations, scheduling, and resource management
- Refactor and modernize a large existing production codebase
- Build new products and features from scratch
- Develop workflows for payments, refunds, and accounting
- Make architectural decisions to support platform growth
What you'll need
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- Production experience with Node.js, Express, React, and Next.js
- Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling
- Experience working on both established and greenfield projects
- Ability to work with high ownership and strong engineering judgment
Nice to have
- Experience with reservation or scheduling systems
- Background in payments or financial software
