BJAK is expanding its financial services beyond insurance into spending, saving, and investing across Southeast Asia. This role focuses on building the backend infrastructure for their new AI-driven Neobank application.
You will engineer reliable APIs and workflows that handle real customer transactions, payments, and risk management. The team values practical trade-offs between speed and scalability while maintaining high security and data integrity standards.
What you'll do
- Build backend services for onboarding, payments, cards, and FX flows
- Design systems supporting real-time transactions and operational workflows
- Integrate with payment providers, AI services, and third-party platforms
- Ensure backend quality regarding security, latency, and data integrity
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to launch features safely
- Automate repeatable processes and simplify existing system flows
What you'll need
- Strong experience building production backend systems at scale
- Deep understanding of APIs, databases, auth, queues, and events
- Proven track record debugging and securing live customer-facing services
- Ability to balance speed, correctness, and maintainability in code
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
- Must be currently based in Thailand
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or digital wallets
- Background in KYC, fraud detection, or risk management systems
