Join the AI Engineering team at TRM Labs to develop the integration platform powering AI-native products. You will design and ship reliable connectors, APIs, and services that allow AI systems to access external intelligence sources securely and at scale. Your work will directly support investigators in tracing illicit activity and disrupting crime networks.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain third-party API integrations for Agentic products
- Develop scalable infrastructure and shared services for new data sources
- Build reliable backend services and data pipelines for high-volume usage
- Collaborate with product and data teams to define technical roadmaps
- Enhance observability, reliability, and maintainability of the integration platform
What you'll need
- Experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and web services
- Strong knowledge of API patterns including auth, retries, and error handling
- Proficiency with relational databases, queues, caches, or event-driven architectures
- Ability to structure complex problems and drive projects from ambiguity to launch
- Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with product and design
Nice to have
- Experience with OSINT data sources
- Background in AI Production Systems
How you'll work
- Distributed-first company with hubs in major global cities
- Requires at least 6 hours overlap with PST (8 am to 2 pm PST)
- On-call rotation approximately one week every 4–6 weeks
- Weekly sprint schedule with high ownership expectations
