The team focuses on building the intelligence layer behind these automations, ensuring reliable outcomes at scale. This role requires deep backend expertise combined with a strong interest in AI-driven engineering and prompt orchestration.
What you'll do
- Design and build scalable APIs for agentic workflows from activation to resolution
- Develop prompt orchestration, agent frameworks, and model evaluation loops
- Translate complex healthcare processes into reliable automated systems
- Architect systems for scale with transparent human escalation pathways
- Shape technical strategy and mentor engineers as the team expands
What you'll need
- 9+ years of backend engineering experience building production systems at scale
- Strong curiosity about AI, including prompt engineering and agent orchestration
- Ability to design pragmatic solutions for complex technical challenges
- Clear communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Comfort working in high-autonomy, fast-moving environments
Nice to have
- Experience with healthcare data or product engineering
- Background in ML systems or web crawling
- Familiarity with model evaluation and performance measurement
How you'll work
- Hybrid model based in New York City
- Office work Monday through Thursday in Chelsea
- Remote work allowed on Fridays
