You will design and maintain robust backend services that support rapid growth and critical features for over 100 million users. Working from the Lisbon office, you will collaborate with product managers and frontend developers to deliver scalable solutions using modern cloud technologies.
What you'll do
- Design and build RESTful or GraphQL APIs and microservices
- Model data and manage queries using Supabase and PostgreSQL
- Deploy and manage services on Google Cloud Platform
- Write clean, testable code with unit and integration tests
- Implement secure authentication and authorization solutions
- Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services
- Mentor team members and document architectural decisions
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering roles
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-based services
- Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure platforms
- Solid knowledge of Clean Code and Clean Architecture
- Experience with REST API design and cloud-native development
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing tools, and Git
- Strong grasp of security principles and data protection
