You will develop and productize data science capabilities that enhance the performance of the NEXUS model in real enterprise scenarios. Working closely with R&D and Data Scientists, you will translate complex requirements into reliable, production-grade engineering solutions.
The team focuses on solving hard data science problems by building efficient, reproducible, and observable distributed systems. Your work will directly impact how Fortune 100 companies leverage structured records for decision-making.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end reliability, performance, and scalability of Extensions
- Design efficient and observable distributed workflows for production
- Collaborate with Data Scientists to translate requirements into engineering decisions
- Resolve performance bottlenecks to meet enterprise latency demands
- Contribute to architectural decisions for NEXUS backend integration
- Write clean, well-tested Python code and maintain high quality standards
- Establish best practices and document internal engineering processes
What you'll need
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Python focus
- Deep knowledge of idiomatic, clean, and well-tested Python code
- Proven experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale
- Strong understanding of concurrency and workflow orchestration patterns
- Experience building reproducible and debuggable production systems
- Ability to translate complex requirements from non-engineering partners
- Strong ownership mindset with focus on outcomes over output
Nice to have
- Experience with Temporal, Dramatiq, Celery, or similar orchestration tools
- Familiarity with ML infrastructure or working with data science teams
- Background in building high-throughput data processing pipelines
- Exposure to Kubernetes and container-based deployment environments
- Experience in performance profiling and optimization of Python services
