BJAK is expanding its financial services beyond insurance to include spending, saving, and investing. As a Backend Engineer, you will build the reliable APIs and workflows powering their AI Neobank app. The team works globally to help millions of users manage their money effectively.
What you'll do
- Build backend services and APIs for the AI Neobank application
- Design systems for accounts, transactions, and partner integrations
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, and insurers
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship features
- Improve system reliability, security, and observability
- Ensure systems are auditable for regulated financial products
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and third-party integrations
- Understanding of security, data quality, and operational risks
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and risk effectively
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or insurance sectors
- Background in lending, banking, or regulated products
- Track record of handling production systems at scale
