BJAK is expanding beyond insurance to help users manage spending, saving, and investing through its AI Finance Agent. You will build the core backend systems, APIs, and workflows that power this neobank application across multiple financial products.
The team operates globally with a focus on reliability and speed. You will collaborate with product and mobile teams to deliver customer-facing journeys while ensuring systems are auditable and secure for regulated markets.
What you'll do
- Build backend services and APIs for the AI Neobank app
- Design systems for accounts, transactions, and reconciliations
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, and insurers
- Support products across insurance, payments, and investing
- Improve system reliability, security, and observability
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship features
What you'll need
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and third-party integrations
- Understanding of security, data quality, and operational risks
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and risk effectively
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or insurance sectors
- Background in lending, banking, or regulated products
- Track record of handling production systems at scale
