BJAK is expanding its mobile-first insurance platform into a broader financial ecosystem, including spending, saving, and investing. This role involves building the core backend systems for their AI Finance Agent, ensuring reliable workflows and scalable infrastructure for millions of users across the region.
What you'll do
- Build backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank app
- Design systems for accounts, transactions, reconciliation, and notifications
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, and data providers
- Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, and investments
- Improve system reliability, observability, security, and performance
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship customer journeys
What you'll need
- Minimum 3 years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and third-party integrations
- Understanding of security, reliability, and data quality
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and risk in decision making
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or insurance sectors
- Background in lending, banking, or regulated products
- Track record of handling production systems at scale
