BJAK is expanding its mobile-first insurance platform into a broader financial ecosystem, including an AI Finance Agent. This role involves building the core backend systems, APIs, and workflows that power this new neobank application.
You will design reliable infrastructure for transactions, partner integrations, and user accounts, ensuring security and scalability across millions of users. The team operates globally with a strong focus on practical, auditable systems for regulated financial products.
What you'll do
- Build backend services and APIs for the AI Neobank application
- Design systems for accounts, transactions, and reconciliation
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, and insurers
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship features
- Improve system reliability, security, and observability
- Ensure systems are auditable for regulated financial products
What you'll need
- 3+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and third-party integrations
- Understanding of security, data quality, and operational risks
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and risk effectively
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, or insurance sectors
- Background in lending, banking, or regulated products
- Track record of handling production systems at scale
