BJAK is expanding its financial services beyond insurance to include spending, saving, and investing. This role focuses on constructing the core backend systems, APIs, and workflows that power their AI-driven neobank application. You will ensure these systems are reliable, secure, and capable of scaling across multiple markets and millions of users.
What you'll do
- Develop backend services and APIs for the AI Neobank application
- Support features across insurance, payments, wallet, and investing
- Design systems for accounts, transactions, and partner integrations
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship user journeys
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, and data providers
- Enhance system reliability, security, and observability
- Build auditable systems compliant with financial regulations
What you'll need
- At least three years of backend engineering experience
- Strong grasp of APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and third-party integrations
- Understanding of security, data quality, and operational risks
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and risk effectively
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, payments, or insurance sectors
- Experience with regulated financial products
- History of handling production systems at scale
