BJAK is expanding beyond insurance to help users manage spending, saving, and investing through its AI Finance Agent. This role focuses on building the core backend systems, workflows, and reliable APIs that power these next-generation financial products.
You will collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing features quickly while ensuring system security, observability, and compliance with financial regulations.
What you'll do
- Build backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank application
- Design systems for user accounts, transactions, and partner integrations
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, and data providers
- Improve system reliability, observability, security, and performance
- Ensure systems are auditable and ready for regulated financial products
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship customer journeys
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems
- Good understanding of security, reliability, and data quality
- Ability to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality, and risk
- Strong English communication skills for global team collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, or banking
- Background in lending or other regulated financial products
