Join BJAK as a Backend Software Engineer to develop the infrastructure behind their AI Finance Agent. You will build reliable APIs, workflows, and financial product systems that scale across markets and millions of users. The team focuses on creating practical, auditable systems for regulated financial products including insurance, payments, and savings.
What you'll do
- Build backend services, APIs, and workflows for the AI Neobank app
- Design systems for user accounts, transactions, and partner integrations
- Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, and data providers
- Improve system reliability, observability, security, and performance
- Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ship customer journeys
- Ensure systems are auditable and compliant with financial regulations
What you'll need
- At least 3 years of backend engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, and system design
- Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems
- Good understanding of security, reliability, and data quality
- Ability to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality, and risk
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including product and ops
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, or banking
- Background with regulated financial products
- Experience handling production systems at scale
