Reacher is building the operating system for creator marketing, helping brands connect across platforms like TikTok Shop and Instagram. As a backend engineer, you will own features end-to-end, from architecture to deployment, using AI agents as your primary development environment.
You will work directly with customers to translate requirements into polished experiences. The team values high autonomy, fast shipping cycles, and deep proficiency with modern AI coding tools like Claude Code.
What you'll do
- Own product features end-to-end including research, design, and implementation
- Define engineering architecture and set code quality standards
- Mentor engineers in adopting AI-native development workflows
- Translate customer requirements into scalable backend systems
- Drive architectural decisions to maximize AI-assisted velocity
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with minimal oversight
What you'll need
- 2–6 years of full-stack experience at product-first or FAANG companies
- Deep proficiency with Claude Code and its various modes
- Strong backend skills in Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL
- Experience designing scalable systems on GCP cloud infrastructure
- Proven ability to ship projects using AI tools as primary environment
- Strong product intuition and ability to work in ambiguous settings
Nice to have
- Experience building autonomous agents with Claude Agent SDK
- Familiarity with AI image or video generation tools
- Frontend skills in React, TypeScript, and Tailwind
- Background as an early engineering hire at a startup
- Experience building internal tooling for thousands of users
