This executive position consolidates accountability for enterprise infrastructure, security, identity, applications, and workplace technology. You will lead a lean team across IT Operations, Security Operations, Cloud Platform Engineering, and GRC, focusing on automation over headcount.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will mature detection and response capabilities using Google SecOps and n8n. As customer zero, you will use UpGuard’s platform extensively to drive product improvements and support sales efforts with real-world operating experience.
What you'll do
- Own full technology remit including infrastructure, security, identity, and workplace tech
- Lead and grow teams in IT Ops, SecOps, Cloud Platform Engineering, and GRC
- Mature security operations with deeper investment in analytics and orchestration
- Manage end-to-end identity across GCP estate and global workforce
- Oversee network perimeter using Zero Trust Network Access models
- Manage global end-user compute fleet primarily on macOS and ChromeOS
- Drive compliance programs including SOC-2 Type II and ISO 27001 preparation
- Serve as primary internal user of UpGuard platform to inform product development
What you'll need
- Strong foundation in running data centers or large-scale infrastructure operations
- Experience in high-discipline environments such as financial services
- Proven ability to scale capabilities with minimal resources via automation
- Comfort owning infrastructure, security, applications, and identity simultaneously
- Hands-on technical credibility in architecture and incident response
- Substantial experience with GCP or equivalent cloud-native architectures
- Accountable ownership of compliance audits like SOC 2 or ISO 27001
- Ability to rapidly absorb context and operate with high autonomy
