Join Runpod as a systems-focused security engineer protecting bare-metal and virtualized GPU environments. You will design isolation architectures, harden Linux kernels, and prevent tenant breakouts for a platform serving over one million developers.
This position requires deep expertise in low-level infrastructure, including hypervisors and container runtimes. You will adopt an attacker's mindset to identify vulnerabilities and write custom code in C, Go, or Rust to implement robust security controls.
What you'll do
- Design workload and network isolation for multitenant GPU environments
- Harden Linux kernel, container runtimes, and orchestration layers
- Conduct penetration testing on hypervisors and hardware interfaces
- Write custom security controls and fixes in C, Go, or Rust
- Mitigate security risks in GPU architecture and PCIe pass-through
- Lead technical response for infrastructure-level security incidents
What you'll need
- 5+ years in infrastructure or systems-level security engineering
- Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals like cgroups and eBPF
- Expertise in virtualization technologies such as KVM and QEMU
- Strong programming skills in C, Go, Rust, or Python
- Familiarity with GPU architecture and hardware security
- Experience securing bare-metal cloud infrastructure
Nice to have
- Contributions to open-source systems security projects
- Experience deploying eBPF-based security tooling
- Knowledge of low-level networking protocols
