You will serve as the quality gate for building system data entering the management platform. Your main task is to confirm that submitted points match system records, are correctly named, and report plausible values. You will also monitor live data for anomalies and help colleagues locate information.
What you'll do
- Review submission forms and point lists from contractors
- Verify conformance to naming and tagging standards
- Confirm data values are plausible and updating correctly
- Map points to correct equipment and location hierarchy
- Document discrepancies and track corrections to resolution
- Monitor live data for stale or out-of-range values
- Investigate data issues and escalate technical problems
- Create work orders for equipment or system faults
- Support colleagues in locating and interpreting data
What you'll need
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 0-2 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables
- Clear written communication abilities
- Attention to detail and disciplined work habits
- Comfort learning new software platforms quickly
- Ability to judge data plausibility across sources
Nice to have
- Understanding of building automation systems
- Knowledge of HVAC or mechanical systems
- Familiarity with BACnet or Modbus protocols
- Exposure to SQL or scripting languages
- Experience in data quality or auditing roles
- Knowledge of point naming conventions
