What you'll do
- Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data structures
- Mentor data engineers on modeling techniques and best practices
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of large-scale data pipelines
- Define data constraints and relationships to reduce quality issues
- Recommend improvements for data workflow, security, and scalability
What you'll need
- At least five years of experience in data engineering or modeling
- Proficiency in SQL and Python programming languages
- Advanced knowledge of Entity Relationship and Dimensional modeling
- Experience with data modeling tools like SqlDBM or Erwin
- Familiarity with big data cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for data presentation
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle ambiguity
Nice to have
- Previous experience in the retail industry sector
- Knowledge of Data Vault, Data Mesh, or Data Lake architectures
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence collaboration tools
