Leland connects individuals with experts and communities to help them secure jobs, enter schools, or upskill for an AI-driven world. As a Data Science Coach, you will mentor clients aiming to break into or advance within the data science field.
You will teach core strategies, machine learning, and predictive modeling while assisting with data cleaning, visualization, and pipeline automation. The role also covers career coaching, including resume reviews, interview prep, and salary negotiation support.
What you'll do
- Teach core data science strategy, machine learning, and predictive modeling
- Guide clients on data cleaning, preprocessing, and visualization techniques
- Instruct on statistical analysis and data pipeline automation practices
- Help clients apply AI fundamentals, model evaluation, and automation tools
- Provide resume, LinkedIn, and cover letter reviews and guidance
- Conduct behavioral and technical interview preparation for data roles
- Advise on networking strategies, salary negotiation, and promotion paths
- Support clients pursuing freelancing opportunities and broader skill building
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience as a data scientist, ML engineer, or industry professional
- Strong track record of turning data into actionable insights
- Clear and structured approach to coaching clients
- Ability to guide both technical skills and career growth effectively
- Experience hosting virtual sessions and partnering with teams
