Join the team empowering Walmart's US stores and eCommerce through technological innovation. You will develop data science tools that enhance financial planning and strategic decision-making by utilizing state-of-the-art Generative AI systems.
The role requires building large-scale applications that summarize complex financial data, providing concise insights to decision-makers. You will collaborate closely with finance teams and product stakeholders to productionize these solutions.
What you'll do
- Develop data science systems and tools for retail and e-commerce applications
- Leverage Large Language Models to summarize data and build scalable applications
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to formulate and productionize solutions
- Establish cross-functional relationships to support corporate goals
- Integrate Generative AI to produce insightful summaries for decision-makers
What you'll need
- Master's or PhD in Statistics, CS, Mathematics, or related field plus 5 years experience
- Alternatively, Bachelor's degree plus 3 years, or Master's plus 1 year experience
- Experience training and inferring large-scale AI models like LLMs and multimodal models
- Knowledge of model optimization techniques such as quantization, pruning, and LoRA
- Solid understanding of LLM ecosystems including GPT, LLaMA, Mistral, and Claude
- Hands-on experience with RAG, AI agent development, and frameworks like LangChain
Nice to have
- Experience with Big Data processing and feature engineering using Spark
- Background in training ML models via Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience designing and training large deep learning models on GPU farms
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
- Successful completion of assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R
