  • Senior Data Scientist
  • Fully remote
  • Cybersecurity focus
  • Python + SQL
  • AI agent security

Join the Agentic Data Science team to establish how effective cybersecurity looks in the age of autonomous AI agents. You will partner with Security, Product, and Engineering teams to measure emerging risks, evaluate defense mechanisms, and reduce friction in security workflows.

This high-ownership role requires building a new analytical discipline from the ground up. You will translate ambiguous security challenges into measurable improvements, ensuring that AI systems remain safe while delivering value to users and enterprises.

What you'll do

  • Define metrics and evaluation frameworks for AI-agent security coverage and behavior
  • Quantify effectiveness and operational costs of security safeguards and controls
  • Partner with engineering to improve instrumentation and connect fragmented telemetry
  • Identify signals of anomalous behavior, risky access, and sensitive data exposure
  • Assess how effectively AI systems identify security issues in customer products
  • Define quality measures for security findings including accuracy and actionability
  • Measure user workflows for discovering, investigating, and resolving security issues
  • Design experimentation strategies for new models, controls, and product features
  • Translate analysis into strategic recommendations for security and product teams
  • Build a roadmap to establish a new security data science capability

What you'll need

  • 5+ years in data science, applied research, analytics, or quantitative fields
  • Experience in cybersecurity, trust and safety, fraud, or privacy domains
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for complex dataset investigation
  • Ability to define metrics when ground truth is limited or outcomes are delayed
  • Strong judgment in experimentation, causal inference, and observational analysis
  • Proven ability to partner with engineers, product managers, and senior leaders
  • Skill in translating technical analysis into concrete product or system improvements
  • Comfort operating independently to define roadmaps in unstructured domains

Nice to have

  • Experience with detection engineering, threat research, or security operations
  • Familiarity with AI agents, large language models, or automated code review
  • Background in evaluating security findings or vulnerability detection workflows
  • Experience balancing security effectiveness against user experience and friction
  • Track record of building cross-functional measurement programs from scratch

Stack

  • SQL
  • Python

How you'll work

  • Fully remote position
  • Reports into Data Science organization
  • Partners closely with Security and Cyber Product teams
