Kled operates the world's largest opt-in human data network, processing millions of daily uploads from active contributors. As a Database & Infrastructure Engineer, you will design indexing strategies, improve query performance, and automate data exports for enterprise clients. You will collaborate across backend, ML, and product teams to support new features and ensure system reliability at scale.
What you'll do
- Optimize and scale PostgreSQL infrastructure on Supabase
- Design indexing and partitioning for large media datasets
- Improve performance of ingestion and retrieval pipelines
- Build internal tools for querying and auditing data
- Automate dataset exports and secure delivery via S3
- Collaborate with backend and ML teams on new features
What you'll need
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL tuning and indexing
- Experience managing datasets with over 100 million records
- Deep understanding of object storage systems like S3
- Proficiency in backend languages such as TypeScript or Python
- Ability to build internal tooling and automation scripts
- Comfort working across database and infrastructure layers
Nice to have
- Experience with ETL pipelines and transformation layers
- Familiarity with vector databases like pgvector or Pinecone
- Background in delivering structured datasets to enterprises
- DevOps experience with CI/CD and infrastructure automation
- Previous work with media-heavy application systems
