Join the Technical Services team at Tiger Data to provide expert support for their high-performance PostgreSQL platform. You will resolve complex technical challenges spanning database internals, cloud infrastructure, and application layers. This role requires deep PostgreSQL knowledge and the ability to guide customers through optimization and troubleshooting.
What you'll do
- Provide technical support for database and platform issues
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear guidance
- Troubleshoot and optimize PostgreSQL and TimescaleDB performance
- Analyze query execution plans to resolve bottlenecks
- Investigate issues across the full stack from app to DB
- Collaborate with Engineering to identify root causes
- Manage customer cases from start to finish
- Document solutions to support team knowledge sharing
What you'll need
- Strong PostgreSQL knowledge including indexing and internals
- Proficiency in CLI and command-line environments
- Expertise in SQL, window functions, CTEs, and PL/pgSQL
- Experience analyzing logs and metrics for performance
- Background in customer-facing technical roles
- Ability to learn quickly across diverse technical domains
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts
- Familiarity with TimescaleDB or other relational databases
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services
- Understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Skill in using Browser DevTools for debugging APIs
- Curiosity or experience with AI in databases

How you'll work
- Fully remote with priority for APAC time zones
- Monday to Friday, 5 AM - 2 PM IST
- Occasional on-call coverage may be required
