Join the team behind Threat Protection Pro and NordLynx to help millions secure their online data. You will maintain and expand Aurora, a multi-platform design system used across various rendering stacks. The role requires moving seamlessly between Figma and code to ensure high-quality UI components.
What you'll do
- Evolving Aurora component kits including ReactKit, AstroKit, and AppKit
- Defining visual and interaction language in both Figma and code
- Building internal tooling such as Figma plugins and CLI utilities
- Guiding product teams on adopting the design system effectively
- Translating design concepts into performant and accessible UI components
- Implementing animations and micro-interactions for key user elements
- Ensuring WCAG AA compliance for inclusive user experiences
- Owning technical implementation and architecture of design components
What you'll need
- Proven experience building and scaling design systems
- Strong grasp of component architecture and token strategies
- Solid product design fundamentals and interaction design skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript, modern CSS, TailwindCSS, and HTML
- Fluency in Figma variables and component architecture
- Advanced knowledge of Storybook.js for testing and documentation
- Ability to collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams
Nice to have
- Experience shipping on web and native platforms like WPF
- Production experience with Astro or similar SSG frameworks
- History of shipping Figma plugins or REST API integrations
- Creative development skills using GSAP or Three.js/WebGL
- Background in platform teams serving other designers and engineers
- Familiarity with Style Dictionary v4 or DTCG format
