You will manage the planning and design of mission-critical data centers, acting as the link between development, engineering, and external consultants. Your focus is on delivering projects on schedule and within budget while meeting technical standards for AI compute infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Lead design management for hyperscale and AI data center developments
- Manage architectural and engineering consultants through all design phases
- Coordinate civil, structural, MEP, and telecommunications teams
- Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering exercises
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, and design changes
- Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards
- Support procurement by validating technical specifications for equipment
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
- 10+ years managing complex commercial or mission-critical design projects
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams for data centers or critical infrastructure
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
Nice to have
- Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer credential
- Experience with AI, hyperscale, or cloud data center developments
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and integrated project delivery
- Knowledge of value engineering and sustainable design practices
