The Authorization team builds the foundation determining access rights for people and systems across 1Password. You will own unified authorization, cross-product APIs, and supporting services while partnering with Identity and Trust platforms.
This intermediate role focuses on delivering product improvements and customer-facing features. You will take ownership of small-to-medium projects, ensuring high-quality code from planning through release.
What you'll do
- Build and ship new features, improvements, and bug fixes
- Own delivery of scoped projects with minimal oversight
- Participate in planning, implementation, testing, and release
- Write maintainable, well-tested code and documentation
- Provide code reviews to reinforce best practices
- Collaborate with support teams to investigate issues
What you'll need
- Proficiency in Go and related development tools
- Experience with authorization or identity systems
- Solid understanding of access control and permissions
- Ability to navigate and improve existing codebases
- Strong focus on testing, clarity, and maintainability
- Effective communication and collaborative mindset
Nice to have
- Experience supporting production systems
- Participation in on-call or incident response
- Familiarity with CI/CD and developer tooling
- Experience improving team velocity and workflows
