Lead the analytics engineering function at 1Password, defining the roadmap for data modeling, testing, and governance. You will manage a team of engineers while partnering with Finance, Product, and Marketing to build trusted data foundations for AI and business intelligence.
What you'll do
- Own vision and execution for analytics engineering, including core models and BI tooling
- Hire, manage, and develop analytics engineers with clear career ladders
- Set standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, and code review
- Review complex dbt models and optimize SQL for performance
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business needs into roadmaps
- Ensure consistent metric definitions and data governance across the organization
What you'll need
- Significant experience leading data engineering or analytics teams
- Advanced SQL and dbt skills including incremental processing and testing
- Deep knowledge of dimensional modeling like Kimball or star schema
- Experience with cloud warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
- Ability to establish semantic layer strategies and trusted metrics
- Familiarity with CI/CD and orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
