As the Director of Enterprise Security, you will shape Virta's security operations from the ground up. You will blend deep technical skills in incident response and detection engineering with the leadership needed to grow a high-performing team. The role focuses on protecting patient data while ensuring frictionless workflows for end-users.
What you'll do
- Mentor and grow a high-performing security operations team
- Define SOC operating model, coverage, and escalation paths
- Design and tune detections as code across security platforms
- Lead technical incident response from triage to resolution
- Conduct hands-on investigations for cloud, SaaS, and endpoint threats
- Build automated response capabilities using SOAR orchestration
- Own security platform strategy including CASB, CSPM, and CNAPP
- Partner with GRC to automate compliance evidence collection
- Develop AI-assisted tools to streamline security operations
What you'll need
- 10+ years in security operations, detection, or cloud security
- 3+ years leading or mentoring technical security teams
- Hands-on incident response experience across logs and cloud
- Experience writing detection rules using detection-as-code models
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Go for automation
- Deep experience tuning SIEM, EDR/XDR, CSPM, and SOAR platforms
- Hands-on cloud security experience, ideally in GCP
- Practical experience applying AI to security workflows
- Ability to explain technical risk to executives and engineers
