Lead the engineering organization responsible for shared member experiences at Super.com, including homepage discovery, membership management, and rewards systems. You will guide engineering managers, drive technical strategy, and help teams adopt modern AI-enabled development workflows.
This position reports to the VP of Engineering and focuses on architectural leadership and organizational clarity. You will ensure high-quality execution across product verticals while scaling systems that support travel, fintech, and earnings products.
What you'll do
- Own technical strategy and delivery for Core Experience organization
- Lead and coach engineering managers and their respective teams
- Oversee engineering systems for Super+ membership value and rewards
- Drive adoption of modern AI-enabled engineering practices and workflows
- Guide architecture decisions and ensure systems scale reliably
- Shape organizational structure, hiring plans, and talent strategy
- Collaborate with Product and Design to enable personalized discovery
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of people leadership experience, including managing managers
- 2+ years of experience at a Director level or equivalent
- Proven success leading multi-team engineering organizations
- Experience building or scaling membership, rewards, or loyalty platforms
- Strong background as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead
- Deep expertise in backend or frontend systems design
- Comfortable guiding implementations in JavaScript and Python ecosystems
- Experience designing services at meaningful scale with high reliability
Nice to have
- Experience with personalization or AI-driven product experiences
- Background in building homepage or discovery surfaces for consumers
- Experience integrating payment platforms like Braintree or Adyen
- Familiarity with Python, Node, React, Postgres, Redis, and AWS
