You will own the end-to-end vision and multi-year investment strategy for security offerings. Working closely with engineering, you will drive decisions on database security, networking, and identity management while guiding other product managers on security-adjacent topics.
What you'll do
- Define product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for security offerings
- Collaborate deeply with engineering on database security, networking, and IAM details
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver genuinely secure products
- Translate complex security requirements into clear specifications and user stories
- Prioritize backlog by balancing business value, customer risk, and engineering cost
- Drive go-to-market strategies including positioning and sales enablement
- Use real-world performance data to inform future build decisions
- Serve as internal subject-matter expert and coach for other product managers
- Represent security posture and roadmap to customers, prospects, and analysts
What you'll need
- 10+ years of B2B SaaS product management experience with security focus
- Proven experience setting security strategy at an organizational level
- Hands-on knowledge of database security principles and best practices
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security implications
- In-depth expertise in identity and access management (IAM)
- Solid program management skills across multiple concurrent workstreams
- Track record of representing products externally to non-technical audiences
- Experience mentoring other product managers informally or formally
- Strong communication skills and judgment in fast-paced environments
Nice to have
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
