You will manage a growing team of product designers, setting direction and removing roadblocks alongside the VP of Design. The role requires defining how great product design looks in an AI-native company, balancing human judgment with automated tools.
Givebutter is a free fundraising and CRM platform for nonprofits. You will help shape the design culture and strategy while ensuring high-quality user experiences across the platform.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop product designers across multiple pods
- Hire, mentor, and manage career growth for team members
- Partner with VP of Design on strategy and org scaling
- Set craft standards for interaction and visual design
- Define how the team designs with AI tools and workflows
- Align stakeholders and manage cross-functional dependencies
- Influence product strategy through user insights
- Make high-stakes decisions balancing craft and speed
What you'll need
- 8+ years of product design experience
- 3–5 years managing other designers
- Strong portfolio showing leadership impact
- Experience with complex, multi-surface products
- Strategic partner to Product and Engineering leads
- Fluency with AI reshaping design craft and work
- SaaS or B2B product experience required
- Comfortable in high-growth, ambiguous environments
Nice to have
- Nonprofit or social impact experience
- Designing AI-native or agentic product experiences
- Experience with automation product features
