This position provides the highest level of technical expertise for Fujifilm Healthcare’s Medical Informatics business, covering PACS, VNA, and clinical information systems. You will lead technical direction, resolve critical escalations, and collaborate with development teams to ensure optimal customer experiences.
Beyond direct support, you will drive continuous improvement, define technical standards, and mentor other engineers. The role demands mastery of medical imaging architectures, cloud platforms, and networking protocols to solve complex issues and influence product design.
What you'll do
- Provide expert technical leadership and direction to support and development teams
- Triage and resolve complex escalations that lower-tier support cannot handle
- Mentor principal and senior support engineers through formal programs
- Collaborate with R&D to improve product quality and reduce future escalations
- Create and maintain advanced knowledge bases and diagnostic playbooks
- Influence product architecture for better supportability and reliability
- Deliver specialized training to internal teams and global business partners
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical site-down situations
What you'll need
- 12+ years of experience in Technical, Systems, or QA Engineering in Medical IT
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years experience or Master's with 8 years
- Mastery of Linux architecture, system administration, and Red Hat distributions
- Expert knowledge of medical protocols like DICOM, HL7, and HTTP/HTTPS
- Proficiency in cloud concepts including AWS, Azure, and storage protocols S3/SMB
- Strong skills in networking troubleshooting using Wireshark and command line tools
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL scripting
- Ability to travel up to 25% and work flexible hours including on-call
Nice to have
- Current VCP, Cisco, Azure, or AWS professional-level certifications
- Security+ or higher security certification
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes containerization
- Proficiency in scripting with Bash, PowerShell, C#, Java, or Python
- Knowledge of VMware and enterprise storage solutions
