Join Swan to build scalable autonomous products for the defense and industrial sectors. You will design, implement, and test SDR receiver algorithms, focusing on acquisition, tracking, synchronization, and real-time RF signal processing for navigation and communication systems.
What you'll do
- Design and implement SDR receiver algorithms for real-world RF signals
- Develop pipelines for acquisition, tracking, synchronization, and measurements
- Estimate Doppler, carrier phase, timing, delay, and signal quality metrics
- Work with SDR platforms like USRP/UHD, GNU Radio, RFSoC, or FPGAs
- Analyze RF data and debug receiver performance in lab and field settings
- Evaluate waveform structure, modulation, and channel behavior tradeoffs
- Support experiments using GNSS, LEO satellite downlinks, or other signals
What you'll need
- Experience building receiver signal-processing chains for RF systems
- Background in GNSS, satcom, radar, wireless PHY, or spectrum monitoring
- Proficiency with SDR development tools such as GNU Radio or USRP/UHD
- Skills in real-time DSP implementation and signal acquisition loops
- Knowledge of PLL/FLL/DLL design and Doppler estimation techniques
- Experience with carrier recovery, timing recovery, and matched filtering
- Familiarity with Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or similar signal-processing tools
Nice to have
- Experience with OFDM, TDMA, DVB-S2/DVB-S2X, or modem PHY layers
- Knowledge of GNSS observables like pseudorange and ephemerides
- Background in navigation filtering, EKFs, or INS/GNSS integration
- Experience with FPGA-based signal processing platforms
- Work in electronic warfare, ELINT, SIGINT, or spectrum monitoring
