We are seeking an Elastic Stack Engineer to join the DCGS Management Center program at Langley AFB, VA. You will maintain and develop our Elasticsearch cluster, focusing on health, status, and security monitoring.
The role requires installing and configuring Elastic components, troubleshooting performance issues, and creating custom visualizations. You will also handle server deployments, parser customization, and technical support for AF DCGS systems.
What you'll do
- Install and configure Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats
- Monitor cluster health and troubleshoot performance issues
- Create custom Kibana dashboards for data trend insights
- Configure syslog, audit.d, and Windows audit policies
- Perform server rebuilds, deployments, and parser customization
- Use scripting and configuration management tools like Ansible
- Manage tasks through a ticketing system
What you'll need
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's in IS Technology, CS, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of related professional experience
- DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix OS and network protocols
- Experience with SIEM and log management solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Nice to have
- AF DCGS program experience
- 4-7 years of Linux systems administration
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO, and SOC security standards
